Zambia

Kafue, Livingstone, Lower Zambezi & South Luangwa

ABOUT Zambia

Growing up my father built a couple of safari lodges in Livingstone National Park, (the Zambian side to the Victoria Falls). We return often to this area to enjoy the epic boat cruises on the Zambezi River with the thrill of hippo and crocodiles’ meters away, tiger-fishing and tracking rhino on foot.
South Luangwa National Park is what I refer to as ‘off-the beaten track’. This is truly untouched Africa. This is where we came up close & personal with a lioness who casually walked right past our group as we enjoyed sundowners on the plains. Here you will find amazing leopard encounters as well as the rare Thornicroft Giraffe.
One of my most spectacular memories on safari was in the Lower Zambezi National Park. A big game sanctuary where wildlife concentrates along the winding river. It is here we sat with our feet in the water, on a shallow sandbank whilst enjoying lunch & good company – all under the close eye of inquisitive hippos snorting in the water surrounding us.
Zambia is the home of the walking safari – in my opinion there is no better place to experience the wilderness from a different perspective.
Take a balloon flight over the Kafue National Park at sunrise whilst you admire the ethereal mist that settles over the endless plains where you may spot the rarer puku, red lechwe & hartebeest grazing. Secluded, peaceful and far from the crowds- this is Zambia’s largest National Park.
