Kenya

Amboseli, laikipia, lewa & masai mara

ABOUT KENYA

Entering the Mara, the vast plains & endless open vistas that stretch for miles on miles is a site to behold. Zebra & wildebeest concentrated in numbers one has never experiences before. The lack of trees and short grass terrain allows you to spot wildlife from afar in great numbers.

The Masaai tribe, dressed in their colorful traditional dress, dripping in beautiful beadwork and bright checkered red blankets. They are truly a beautiful tribe and their bold dress brings out their character and warmth from within.

The harmony in which the local communities live with wildlife. You will see Masaai herders walking with 200 cattle past a pride of lions and neither side barely blinking an eye. There is a mutual respect here between nature and humans and it is extremely special to see.

The wildlife here are incredibly habituated and very much at ease with vehicles. The extreme close proximity you can get to leopard & cheetah (some of the more elusive cats for example) is hard to find elsewhere in Africa.

A diversity of activities from hot-air ballooning across the Masaai Mara, to horse-back riding or mountain biking through the Chyulu Hills, to rhino tracking in Ol Pejeta. There is never a time to be bored in Kenya.
