best time to visit

The winter months, July through September, can be the most rewarding for game viewing and the weather is pleasant, with warm days and cold nights. Animals will concentrate around available water, making it easier to view them.

Favourite dishes

Melktart is my favorite dessert. It is an ‘Afrikaans’ dessert originally created by the Dutch settlers in the “Cape” (South Africa). It is made up of a sweet pastry trust, filled with a creamy custard of milky, flour eggs and sugar. It is set and served cold.
